Congratulations to Jamie Staver, who wan the 2008 Lincoln (NE) Marathon in 3:17:20, to qualify for the 2009 Boston Marathon!  He said it was quite a day, but worth the energy to beat the goal he set.  Thanks to the Staver family for this picture, but I'm wondering why he's so pumped at beating the "lady in black" behind him!  She looks like she's doing OK.  I did not see a photo with the actual time, so I'm not 100% convinced he actually ran the time he claims!   It this another Rosie Ruiz???  We'll take his family's word that he actually did the entire race............ 

Team TOOT member Christin Tomy was scheduled to run the opening race of the season on Saturday, April 26, 2008, in the Fruit At The Finish Triathlon held at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.  However, this is Minnesota, and a nice blanket of snow and high winds in Central Minnesota forced the cancellation of the 2008 event!  Only in Minnesota, I guess.  

Next week  USAF Lt. Col. James P. Staver will be looking to qualify for the 2009 Boston Marathon while running in the 2008 Lincoln (NE) Marathon.   GOOD LUCK, Jamie!
